Middle East and North Africa are still considered as regions of high importance in the field of international politics because the significance of their geopolitical and geostrategical characteristics (such as the important ways of communication and transportation and their rich energy resources) has been maintained on one hand and on the other because the simultaneous action of local, regional and international actors has transformed Middle East and North Africa into a field of conflict and crisis as well as into a source of asymmetric threats.<\/p>\n
This course aims to shed light on the distinctive characteristics of the Middle East and North Africa today through the study of the foreign policy of major countries such as Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia etc, of the interaction among them as well as through the study of the great powers\u2019 policy\/policies.<\/p>\n
