{"id":303,"date":"2015-12-01T11:09:20","date_gmt":"2015-12-01T09:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gds.aegean.gr?p=303"},"modified":"2016-03-24T19:33:36","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T17:33:36","slug":"international-economic-relations-and-governance-in-the-mediterranean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gds.aegean.gr\/en\/international-economic-relations-and-governance-in-the-mediterranean\/","title":{"rendered":"International economic relations and Governance in the Mediterranean"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This course provides students with a working knowledge and experience of some certain aspects of international economic relations and governance in the Mediterranean area focusing on the relations between EU and the South Mediterranean countries.The course explores the Europeanization process of the South Mediterranean states and the economic and political dimensions of the interregional relationship between the EU and the South Mediterranean countries. It examines the governance system which the EU has developed with the Mediterranean states including the Association Agreements.It follows also the evolution of the EU relationship with the South Mediterranean countries from the Global Mediterranean policy until the most recent Union for Mediterranean. Furthermore it address the causes and consequences of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) to the Mediterranean countries and examines the prospects of a Free Trade Area between them as well as the future of Turkey\u2019s application for full membership to the EU.
